Ripples of Plastic was awarded a Documentary Emmy!
Ripples of Plastic won a Documentary Emmy at the 2026 Central Great Lakes Emmys! With the initial idea for the film coming at the start of the pandemic seeing plastic along Mentor Headlands to walking up on stage to accept the award, it has been an incredible journey documenting the important issue of freshwater plastic pollution.
Over the past six years, our film has received an incredible response from the Great Lakes region. We couldn’t have done this without all the scientists, researchers, community members & activists in the film. Wonderhouse Films share this award with everyone in the film and hope Ripples of Plastic continues to be shared for years to come!
